Als hotelier ontvangt u een grote verscheidenheid aan gasten. Het kan voorkomen dat u te maken krijgt met een gast in uw hotel die besmet is met het coronavirus. Onze brancheorganisatie Federatie Textielbeheer Nederland (FTN) houdt het nieuws nauwlettend in de gaten en wij houden ons aan hun protocol textielverzorging met betrekking tot het coronavirus. Hiervoor vragen wij uw aandacht.

Belangrijk!
Wij willen u, mede omdat de transmissieroute van het virus nog niet bekend is, verzoeken om in het geval van een besmetting binnen uw bedrijf direct contact op te nemen met Blycolin. Wij stemmen dan de procedure rond het aanleveren van het wasgoed met u af en brengen aandachtspunten in beeld. Zo kunnen wij onze medewerkers, zoals chauffeurs en medewerkers die met vuile was werken, beschermen. Bovendien kunnen wij u alleen als u het meldt de zekerheid bieden dat het wasgoed kwalitatief voldoende gedesinfecteerd wordt.

Achtergrondinformatie
De overleving van het Coronavirus buiten een menselijke gastheercel is beperkt. De beperkte overleving en de wijze van infectie maakt de kans op infectie van derden via textiel klein. Mogelijk is de overleving van het virus wel langer in textiel dat vervuild is met ontlasting, zoals bleek uit eerdere ervaringen met het SARS-1 Coronavirus.

Wat doen we met (besmet) wasgoed?
Geen besmet wasgoed

• U levert uw wasgoed als gebruikelijk aan. Dit is conform de richtlijnen van het RIVM.

Wel besmet wasgoed

• U levert het wasgoed gescheiden, in aparte en duidelijk gemarkeerde zakken aan. Stop deze zakken niet te vol, sluit de zak goed af en plaats de zakken niet in een container met onbesmet wasgoed. De besmette was wordt volgens de richtlijnen verwerkt.

Hoe wordt besmet linnen behandeld?

• Thermische desinfectie – volgens tijd/temperatuur-regels
• Chemothermische desinfectie – bij toepassing van een wasproces met door het door het CTGB goedgekeurde desinfecterende producten

This allows us to protect our employees, such as drivers and employees who work with dirty laundry. Moreover, we can only offer you the certainty that the laundry is sufficiently disinfected in terms of quality if you report it.

Background information
The survival of the corona virus outside a human host cell is limited. The limited survival and mode of infection makes the risk of third party infection via textiles small. However, survival of the virus may be longer in textiles contaminated with faeces, as previous experience with the SARS-1 Coronavirus has shown.

What do we do with (contaminated) laundry?
No contaminated laundry

• You deliver your laundry as usual. This, of course, is in accordance with actual RIVM guidelines.

Contaminated laundry

• You deliver the laundry separately, in separate and clearly marked bags. Do not overfill these bags, close the bag securely and do not place the bags in a container with uncontaminated laundry. The contaminated laundry is processed according to the guidelines.

How is contaminated linen treated?

• Thermal disinfection – according to time/temperature regulations
• Chemothermal disinfection – when using a washing process with disinfecting products approved by the CTGB
