Sustainability is playing an increasingly important role in the selection and evaluation of suppliers. You want to see not only ambitions, but also policies, measures and demonstrable results.
EcoVadis assesses more than 150,000 companies worldwide across over 185 countries. The assessment focuses on four themes: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement. EcoVadis evaluates areas including policies, measures, reporting, and supporting evidence.
Silver for Blycolin
In 2026, Blycolin was assessed at Group level for the first time, covering the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium and Poland. With a score of 76 out of 100, Blycolin Group was awarded a Silver Medal. This places Blycolin among the top 15% of companies assessed by EcoVadis over the past 12 months.
Blycolin scores particularly well in areas such as the environment and sustainable procurement. EcoVadis assesses, for example, environmental measures as well as social and environmental requirements for suppliers, contracts and audits.
What does this mean for you as a customer?
The assessment gives you additional insight into how Blycolin addresses topics such as the environment, labour and human rights, and responsible procurement. The score also indicates the extent to which policies and performance are demonstrable.
For international hotel organisations, such an assessment can help evaluate suppliers in a consistent way based on their approach to sustainability.
An EcoVadis medal does not stand on its own. Reporting and other forms of supporting evidence also help provide insight into sustainability performance.
Insight into areas for improvement
EcoVadis not only highlights what is going well, but also identifies areas where further improvement is possible. Blycolin uses these insights alongside its own ESG objectives and roadmap.
In its ESG report, Blycolin reports on goals, results and developments relating to areas including climate, circularity, the supply chain and social policy.
