Blycolin becomes a Founding Partner of Hotels for Trees. The international expert for hotel industry linen has offered the Hotels for Trees foundation financial support for its European expansion. Besides this, Blycolin will actively promote this initiative amongst its hotel client base of over 2,000 hotels.

Blycolin offers carefree linen management for hotels, restaurants and wellness centers. In this industry, it is the market leader in Benelux.Germany and Poland will be expanding to. Blycolin will plant one tree for each hotel client that joins Hotels for Trees as part of their five-year partnership.

According to Marc van Boekholt, CEO of Blycolin, the partnership with Hotels for Trees aligns perfectly with the organization’s long-term sustainable focus: “Our partnership with Hotels for Trees fits in with our vision of running our company in the most sustainable way possible. As part of this vision, we offer our hotel clients sustainable linen solutions, which add to an optimal guest experience. This wonderful initiative makes a direct sustainable impact and as Hotels for Trees ambassador, we very much look forward to convincing our hotel clients to join this movement. EEach stayover room that isn’t cleaned but has a tree planted costs us a bit of revenue, however this does add one more tree to the total. We can’t think of a more tangible way of making positive impact.”

100,000 trees

Hotels for Trees wants to make the hotel industry in Europe more sustainable by converting savings on stayover cleaning costs into newly planted trees. Floris Licht, Chief Tree Planting Officer at Hotels for Trees sees this partnership as a big and very valuable step in the growth of this initiative. “Earlier this month we planted our 5,000th  tree and we are currently expanding into Germany, Austria, Belgium and France. With the help of Blycolin we hope to be able to plant at least 100,000 trees in 2022.”
